N’Golo Kante has been one of the most important players for Leicester City during their ongoing run to the Premier League title. His midfield dominance this year has made him one of the hottest targets in European football and has already started garnering interest from top English clubs. Manchester United in particular may try and jump to the front of the line if it means keeping him away from bitter-rival Arsenal.
According to The Sun, Man United are looking to sign Kante as a potential replacement for the departing Michael Carrick as well as the potentially-departing Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ander Herrera. Arsenal are believed to have the inside track on a move for Kante as of writing.
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted recently that he might not be able to prevent Kante if he is dead set on leaving the Premier League leaders – opening the door for a massive bidding war for the £20 million-rated midfielder.
Per the Metro, Sir Alex Ferguson is fond of Kante and his blessing on a move for the French midfielder could be all the justification the team needs to open the wallet wide open.
