The stellar performance of teenage forward Marcus Rashford in the Europa League made Manchester United fans quickly forget about their prized starlet Anthony Martial after he got injured in the warmups. However, with a showdown with Arsenal looming, fans may quickly learn to miss him again.
According to the Daily Mail, Martial is expected to miss the club’s Sunday match against Arsenal after injuring his hamstring in the warmups prior to the Europa League clash with Midtjylland. The Red Devils ended up winning the match 5-1 thanks to huge performances by Memphis Depay and Marcus Rashford.
Martial is tied with the injured Wayne Rooney for the team lead in Premier League goals. Rooney leads Martial 14 to 10 in total goals.
Vital points are on the line for both sides with Man United needing the full three to jump ahead of West Ham United to reclaim fifth place on the table.
Arsenal need the full three points to get within striking distance of first-place Leicester City.
