Man United target €25m transfer for prized Lille attacker

Lille acquired Sofiane Boufal from Angers earlier this summer and have already gotten their money’s worth for the 22-year-old attacker. Meanwhile, Manchester United have struggled to get any contributions out of Jesse Lingard, Memphis Depay, Marouane Fellaini or even Juan Mata in the past few weeks and it has cost them dearly in the Premier League and Champions League. As a result, the Red Devils are contemplating a move.

According to Squawka, Man United are interested in securing a transfer for the French attacker in the coming months, but will need a bid of at least €25 million to come to the table. Squawka reported that Lille are not planning on letting him go in January but may be resigned to parting with him for a large enough offer.

Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Valencia and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be pursuing bids for Boufal.

Boufal has scored five goals in 15 appearances for Lille this season. In his previous three seasons with Angers, Boufal had just four goals in over 40 total appearances.
