10. James McCarthy
A long-shot option considering Everton’s devotion to their young talent, but if the Toffees withstand offers for John Stones and Lukaku, McCarthy could be moved.
9. Ever Banega
A low-risk option from Valencia, Banega can be picked up cheap if Arsenal are willing to give him a shot.
8. Walace
Though the 20-year-old’s natural position is defensive midfielder, the Gremio youngster is a tremendous athlete who is very mobile.
7. Cheikhou Kouyate
West Ham United are playing top-notch football right now and Kouyate has been one of the underrated stars on that team.
6. Victor Wanyama
Wanyama is the star of Southampton, and the Saints will be hard-pressed to part with him, but he’d be an immediate impact player.
5. Christoph Kramer
A top-rated player in Bundesliga, Kramer earned the confidence of Germany manager Joachim Low in the World Cup last year as a replacement for Sami Khedira.
4. Grzegorz Krychowiak
Considered a target for Arsenal for a long time, the 6’1″ Krychowiak would provide Wenger with an excellent advantage in the heart of the park. His speed (or lack thereof) might be an issue though!
3. William Carvalho
A name that has been popping up for months, Carvalho’s summer injury may have been the only thing keeping him from a London move in the first place, And it could be why is name won’t appear more often considering Arsenal’s current injury problems!
2. Luiz Gustavo
A reasonably priced option who is playing well at Wolfsburg this year, Gustavo is experienced, tough and has the kind of attitude Wenger prefers in his players.
1. Lucas Biglia
Easily one of the best talents at the position, Lazio’s captain has been a great player in Serie A in recent campaigns and has garnered attention from the rest of Europe; Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been linked to the Argentine star.
