Liverpool star pledges to trim signature hair if he scores in Europa League Final

Joe Allen has just taken the already-high stakes Europa League Final to the next level with a pledge that could change his life forever (or at least a few months).

Should he score a goal for Liverpool when the Reds take on Sevilla in the Final, the Welsh midfielder has promised to cut off his signature hair and beard for charity.

Per the Metro, Allen was recently asked when he would cut his hair next – to which the Reds midfielder agreed to cut it off if he scored a goal for his team during the Final, and then donate it to Zoe’s Place baby hospice.

Allen scored a goal against Watford this past weekend , his third of the season in more than 30 appearances. He has appeared in ten Europa League matches for Liverpool but has contributed no goals to the cause… so far.

It would certainly be a memorable moment to be sure if “the Welsh Xavi” can score in the clutch for Liverpool – though if he’s as committed to donating his precious locks to charity, hopefully he’ll do it even if he doesn’t score in the game.
