Everton risk nine-point deduction if they are forced into administration

Everton have had a troubled season on and off the pitch.

The Toffees have been involved in legal issues regarding their finances and have been handed point deduction punishment this season.

For failing to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, they have been punished by the league.

The point deduction punishment resulted in them being involved in a relegation battle, however, they have come out of it now.

There is more bad news for the Everton fans as the club could risk a nine-point deduction if they are forced into administration, according to The Sun.

After 777 Partners had yet another major financial catastrophe, Farhad Moshiri’s Toffees have consulted insolvency specialists.

The US investment group have suffered the setback of their Australian airline Bonza going into administration.

It has put Everton’s £500million takeover in jeopardy, with the Premier League club now facing an uncertain future.

The events have led to US insurance company A-Cap cutting ties with Miami based 777.

Everton have already lost eight points this season, yet with three games left, they are 11 points above the Premier League relegation zone.

Everton players have battled hard to turnaround their season.

The team is hopeful, nevertheless, that they will escape falling into administration, which would mean losing nine points, because 777 gave an extra £16 million to pay for urgent expenses.

Everton have been financed by the US company with a £200 million amount, to keep the club running.

777’s growing issues, nevertheless, mean that the Premier League will probably turn down their buyout offer.

Moshiri is currently thinking about prospective buyers while acting CEO Colin Chong searches for more funding from outside sources.
