After losing five games in a row to start 2016, Crystal Palace fans were most likely nervous when they went into halftime against Swansea City down 1-0. But the hero of the game was defender Scott Dann, who has emerged as one of the best scoring threats to play as a back, who saved the club from another loss.
The Swans took an early lead thanks to an absolutely incredible slicing free kick from Gylfi Sigurdsson that ripped past Wayne Hennessey for an early lead.
Swansea would retain their lead going into the half, but there was a sense that Crystal Palace had plenty of fight in them.
The Eagles proved their supporters right and marched out the gate attacking, with Scott Dann finishing the play for an incredible goal for Crystal Palace. The goal for Dann was his fifth of the season.
The Swansea City 1-1 Crystal Palace draw ends a five-game Premier League losing streak that the Eagles had endured since the start of 2016. The only win the club has since the start of the season is an FA Cup win over Stoke City.
