Man United could offer in excess of €75m for 24-year-old target, Liverpool keen as well

Manchester United are looking to improve their defensive unit in the coming months and they have identified the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as a target.

According to a report from Fichajes, the England international has attracted strong interest from Manchester United and they are prepared to compete with Liverpool for his services.

The report states that Manchester United’s offer for the defender could exceed €75 million. It remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official offer for the 24-year-old when the transfer window reopens in January.

He was heavily linked with a move away from Crystal Palace during the summer window. It seems that Manchester United are now determined to get the deal done. They have already brought in players like Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt at the start of the season. It seems that they are keen on signing another quality central defender.

Guehi is a proven performer in the Premier League and he could transform Manchester United at the back. He has the quality to improve them immensely. The opportunity to join a big club will be quite attractive for the 24-year-old defender as well.

Meanwhile, Liverpool need defensive reinforcements as well, especially with the future of Joe Gomez uncertain at the club. It will be interesting to see if they decide to compete with Manchester United for the Crystal Palace star.

The 24-year-old is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at both clubs. Liverpool will have to pay a premium if they want to get the deal done, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
