Declan Rice has given Arsenal the lead in the League Cup tie against Bolton.
Josh Nichols puts in a cross inside the box which Arfield fails to clear. The former West Ham man capitalises on Arfield’s mistake and calmly picks his spot from the edge of the box, finessing one into the bottom right corner.
It is Rice’s first goal of the season for Arsenal and he has done it in style. It is also his first League Cup goal of his career. The only other time he scored in a domestic competition was a stoppage time equaliser for West Ham vs. Kidderminster in the FA Cup back in 2022. (via Squawka)
