Liverpool may have had a quiet summer transfer window but they are already busy in making plans for their future transfers.

The Reds managed to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa in the summer transfer window, with the former expected to join the Reds next season after spending this season on loan at Valencia.

The Merseyside club’s widely reported pursuit of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi failed miserably, with the player deciding to stay at his boyhood club at the last moment.

However, the Liverpool hierarchy have been busy identifying top talents around the world and for their next transfer target, they are ready to fight their Premier League rivals Man United.

According to TBR Football, Liverpool have joined the race to sign Kevin Zenon from Boca Juniors.

As per the report, the Premier League giants have scouted the player at recent Boca matches who is versatile and can play in any position on the left side.

Not only clubs from England but teams from Spain, France and Italy have set their sights on the 23-year-old player.

The player is expected to leave the Argentine club next year and the Reds will also have to compete against Tottenham and Newcastle United for his signature.

It may not be easy to convince the player to join them since the Reds will find it difficult to offer him first team football instantly but they can convince the player with the project they are building under manager Arne Slot.

Liverpool transfer target has an affordable release clause

As reported by TBR Football, the player has a £12.7m release clause in his contract, which means he will not be difficult to afford.

It all depends on what terms they can offer to the player and how they plan to integrate him to the first team setup.

It shows that they are not only interested in signing established players but also keen on investing in young talent and developing them at the club.
