Daniel Farke has made a choice that might not go down well with some fans.

The Leeds United manager chose striker Patrick Bamford over Joe Gelhardt in his latest squad for their Championship match against Cardiff City.

According to Nancy Froston, that choice has made it clear who the Leeds United manager prefers when it comes to his striker options.

The Whites managed to beat Cardiff City 2-0 at the weekend in a major result that has put them in sixth position in the standings.

The Leeds manager has preferred Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe in the absence of Bamford, who has been struggling with fitness issues.

However, after just returning to full fitness, the striker was chosen in the squad over Gelhardt, which shows where the manager’s loyalty lies.

Gelhardt was linked with a move away from the Championship side but he remained at the club due to his high wages, which he might not get elsewhere.

It is the right time for the player and the club to part ways as he clearly has no future at Elland Road.

Farke has shown faith in Bamford and not Gelhardt, which means that the attacker will struggle to get playing time at the club.

For the progression of his own career, he should look for a move away from the club and Leeds should also think about cutting their losses by allowing him to leave.
