Manchester United started the season in poor form after losing two out of their first three Premier League matches of the season.

The Red Devils lost against Brighton and Liverpool, with their defense exposed again and showing that they need to do a lot of work before they can become competitive again.

Erik ten Hag’s future at the club was questioned after the home defeat against Liverpool but since then, they have started getting positive results.

The wins against Southampton in the league and against Barnsley in the EFL Cup have restored some confidence.

The Red Devils now travel to Crystal Palace in their next league match and Man United icon Lee Sharpe has stated that one of the players should be worried about his place in the team.

Sharpe told Express Sport:

“It’s difficult to say that any player should be worried about their position in the team after just four games.

“Casemiro made a few obvious mistakes and gave goals away against Liverpool, but then so did Kobbie Mainoo. But I don’t think we’ll be seeing as much of Casemiro now that United have signed Manuel Ugarte.”

The Brazilian midfielder has started the new season just like he finished last season, in poor form.

He was responsible for two of the three goals Liverpool scored against Man United at Old Trafford this season.

Casemiro will be rarely used by Man United moving forward

Casemiro is a shadow of the player he used to be at Real Madrid and he has struggled to cope with the pace and physicality of the Premier League.

The defender faces an uncertain future at the club and more so in the starting line up, with manager Erik ten Hag expected to prefer new signing Manuel Ugarte alongside Kobbie Mainoo in the midfield.

This is most likely Casemiro’s last season at the club as Man United cannot afford to play a liability like him, who has cost the team with his mistakes several times in the last few months.
