Pundit claims Tottenham signing will continue to be exposed under Postecoglou

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been told that one of his players will be exposed because of his current tactics.

Romania star Florin Gardos has claimed that defender Radu Dragusin will be exposed if the Tottenham manager keeps on playing with a high line.

Due to the injury to defender Micky van de Ven, Dragusin was given the opportunity to start for Tottenham against Newcastle United.

Spurs lost the match 2-1 against Eddie Howe’s team, showing their vulnerability at the back.

Dragusin did not perform badly but he struggled to deal with the pace of the Newcastle United attackers when the ball was played behind.

Gardos told Digispor:

“That’s why I’m not a fan of Postecoglou and I don’t think he’ll (Dragusin) have any notable performances. Joelinton has the ball a few meters from the centre circle and Tottenham’s back line is in midfield.

“You can have Usain Bolt on defence, he still doesn’t get to those kinds of balls. It’s a pity for Dragusin, he played well, but if something doesn’t change he will be exposed in every match.”

Tottenham defense found it difficult to deal with the pacey Newcastle attackers and if they want to deal with such attackers, they need pace at the back, something Dragusic failed to provide.

The Spurs manager has to find the right balance and the setup which will suit his players.
