Bad news for Chelsea as PSG set to make Napoli last minute Victor Osimhen offer

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to make Napoli a last minute take-it-or-leave offer for Victor Osimhen.

The Ligue 1 giants have been long-time admirers of the Nigerian striker, and although they have failed in their pursuit up to this point, Goncalo Ramos’ opening-day injury has forced them back into the market.

In desperate need of a new forward to lead his line, Luis Enrique is rumoured to want to bring Osimhen, 25, to the Parc des Prince.

Working out a deal with Napoli remains incredibly hard though. PSG aren’t the only side interested in the former Lille hitman — Chelsea have been locked in talks over a possible loan with option to buy agreement for several days.

Victor Osimhen is in talks to sign for Chelsea.

However, with Ramos ruled out for many weeks, PSG are now revisiting the prospect of signing Osimhen.

And according to a recent report from Gianluca Di Marzio, the French giants are preparing to make Napoli an offer worth between £42 – £50 million (€50 – €60 million).

Regardless of whether or not Napoli accept PSG’s offer, the French club should prepare themselves for intense contract talks. According to a report from Fichajes, the African’s agents want a buying club to agree to a contract worth a staggering £423,000-per week (£22 million-per year).

Since arriving in Naples in 2020, Osimhen, who has two years left on his contract, has 76 goals and registered 18 assists in 133 games in all competitions.

  1. Could be a blessing in disguise to sign a player for that much money with them wages is crazy. Definitely a good striker, but we’re trying to drop the wages in the club that’s why we’re getting rid of sterling and Chigwell. To take a player on at £450.000 to £500.000 thousand a week. Even if he doesn’t play it crazy. Ivan Toney is proven premiership striker and he would be willing to play for Chelsea for under £100.000 thousand a week. Or if not, we could sign Jonathan David or Santiago Gimenez both of them would sign also for under £100,000 a week in wages
