Manchester United are keen on signing the Brazilian midfielder Andre this summer.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past as well. However, a transfer has not worked out yet.
According to TNT Sports Brazil, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on signing the defensive midfielder. It is no secret that Manchester United need midfield reinforcements. Signing a quality defensive midfielder who will protect the back four and help break up opposition attacks would be ideal. The Brazilian certainly fits the profile and he would improve Manchester United immensely.
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was quite underwhelming last season and the Red Devils need to plan for a future without him. Andre would be a long-term investment. The player will be determined to prove himself in the Premier League and the opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be hard to turn down. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can agree on a deal with Brazilian outfit Fluminense.

Apparently, the Premier League club have already initiated discussions with the player’s agents regarding a potential move. However, they are yet to submit an official offer to the Brazilian club. It seems that they are looking to secure an agreement with the player first. It would certainly give them a position of strength during negotiations.
Manchester United have a quality squad and they will be hoping to push for major trophies. They need to plug a few weaknesses in the side and signing a quality defensive midfielder would be a wise decision. The Red devils conceded 58 goals in the league last season and they need to improve in that department. Someone like Andre will not only help them improve defensively, his arrival will allow the creative players to operate with more freedom as well.
