Georginio Rutter has left Leeds United and joined Brighton and Hove Albion.

The striker’s £40 million switch to the Amex Stadium makes him the Whites’ second-most-expensive sale of the summer after Archie Gray’s move to Spurs.

And although Rutter now has no part to play for Leeds United, the former Hoffenheim striker’s recent move is expected to influence the future of one key player.

Georginio Rutter has signed for Brighton.

According to recent reports, club owners 49ers will now block all offers for Wilfried Gnonto.

The Italian winger has been linked with an Elland Road exit but with Rutter moving ahead of him, the 20-year-old must now continue to bide his time.
