Sky Sports man issues key update on West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma

West Ham United have completely overhauled their defense this summer.

New manager Julen Lopetegui has added Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to his defense.

After the Hammers conceded goals for fun last season, Loeptegui made signing new defenders his priority at the London Stadium ahead of the Premier League season.

Kurt Zouma has no future at the club and the Hammers are trying their best to offload the French defender.

Zouma failed his medical at Shabab Al-Ahli which has put his future in doubt.

However, the Hammers are working hard to sort out his future and they are currently involved in talks with Shabab Al-Ahli over a loan deal and a contract termination of the player.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has reported that the clubs are in talks over a solution for the future of the centre-back.

Sheth reported on Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre about the future of the West Ham defender.

“Talks have continued between the clubs to find a possible resolution,” said Sheth.

Kurt Zouma could leave West Ham this summer.

“West Ham’s initial plan was to mutually terminate Zouma’s contract – which has a year to run – and allow him to join on a free transfer. Another option that has been mooted is to loan him to Shabab Al-Ahli and contribute to his wages.

“There are other clubs interested in Zouma and those options remain live.”

Zouma has no future at the club and with the quality of the players they have signed this summer, it makes sense why the defender is being offloaded.

West Ham United want to get rid of Kurt Zouma

He cannot play ahead of Kilman and Todibo, who are much better players and are at the peak of their career.

The Hammers are working towards getting his wages off their wage bill in order to sort out their finances.

The player himself will be looking for a new adventure away from London after his spells at West Ham and Chelsea.

He is not in the new manager’s future plans and his career needs a new environment away from the London Stadium.
