Fabrizio Romano confirms 24-year-old attacker is ‘very highly rated’ by Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on improving their attacking unit with the signing of Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fabrizio Romano has predicted that Tottenham could look to accelerate their move for the 24-year-old Portuguese international and they could be busy in the transfer market starting from this week.

The Italian journalist claims that Tottenham appreciate the Wolves winger and they rate him very highly. There is no doubt that Neto has proven his quality in the Premier League and he would be a superb acquisition for the North London club.

Romano said on a Playback Livestream recently: “Pedro Neto remains a player really appreciated and very highly rated by Tottenham. So, for sure, he is one of the players they’ve always had on the list. Let’s see if they will decide to accelerate, but I expect Tottenham to be busy starting from next week.”

He is versatile enough to operate on both flanks, and he will help create goalscoring opportunities for their attackers. Tottenham need another specialist winger at their disposal, especially if Dejan Kulusevski is used in a more central role. The Swedish international impressed as the central attacking midfielder last season and it would not be a surprise if he is used more centrally going forward.

Pedro Neto is attracting interest from Tottenham.

Tottenham need someone like Pedro Neto

Tottenham need someone who can take on defenders and open up the defences with his technical ability and flair. The Portuguese international certainly fits the profile and he will be tempted to join Spurs as well. It would be a major step up in his career and he would get to join a club capable of pushing for trophies.

Tottenham will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season and Neto will want to showcase his qualities in European football as well. He is a proven performer in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at the London club.

However, he is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition. Wolves will not want to let one of their best players leave for a knockdown price and they are likely to demand the premium. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are ready to break the bank for him.

  1. If he wants to win trophies it is pointless joining Spurs as Levy will not spend money on buying the 2 key players we need.As long as THFC create enough money to pay out the millions in bonuses to the ENIC board every November they will consider themselves s successful club.

    1. He’s crap n like sess was injury prone every season he spends few month out at a time the money involved poor transfer levy won’t change unless massive boycott but I bet u have ur season tickets sorted once levy gets that he doesn’t care n that number was hit after gray signed n back to typical last min crap chiesa n solanke are both crap eze n either David or gimenez but these will cost more than they two clown I said once Ange was sign 2nd season he will be sacked like the rest of them

  2. WE need too many players to make us a club that will challenge for anything. Daniel Levy won’t spend the cash needed. That’s why Levy has to go.
WE need a world class striker as we’ve never replaced Kane. We need a winger that will also walk into the first 11, buying players to sit on the bench doesn’t improve the team. We need a solid number 6. We need another left sided centre back. And finally we could do with a Keeper that can catch a cross and come for corners, Vicario will cost us way too much this this.
