West Ham offered real hope in chase for 26-year-old Man United ace

It’s a summer of change at both West Ham United and Manchester United, but for differing reasons.

The Red Devils, after debating long and hard, decided to stick with Erik ten Hag as their manager, and with INEOS now backing the club, they can move forward in the transfer market and start to, hopefully, get United back to where they belong at the summit of English football.

From West Ham’s point of view, they’re going in a totally different direction, with Tim Steidten brokering deals for players whilst new man in charge, Julen Lopetegui, looks to bring them further success on the pitch.

Key to how well the Spaniard fares will be the way in which his teams play football.

He’s known for a high pressing, front foot game, and that will delight the East London faithful who’ve had to put up with a stale and boring brand of football under David Moyes.

Clearly, both clubs will need to do some decent business in the transfer window, and one player could be swapping Manchester for East London.

According to Stretty News sources, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who only has a year left on his current Man United contract (BBC Sport), wants a move back to London but former club, Crystal Palace, have yet to show their hand.

The Daily Mail suggest that West Ham and Galatasaray are tracking the 26-year-old, but given his clear preference to return to the English capital, that would put the Hammers in the box seat.

At present it isn’t known how much Man United will demand for Wan-Bissaka’s services, though his contract situation dictates that it’s unlikely to be prohibitive.
