(Video) Rob Dorsett gives verdict on possibility of England dropping Harry Kane

Despite being in poor form, Harry Kane will start for England against the Netherlands on Wednesday.

That is the view of Sky Sports News reporter Rob Dorsett, who is adament Gareth Southgate will not drop his attacking talisman for England’s upcoming EUROs semi-final against the Dutch.

Playing poorly for most of this summer’s tournament, Kane, 30, appears a shadow of the player that netted 44 goals in 45 games for Bayern Munich last season.

England team news: Harry Kane expected to start against the Netherlands

However, despite the 30-year-old’s uncharacteristically disappointing performances, Dorsett is under no illusion that the England captain will be leading the Three Lions again on Wednesday night.

“Harry Kane will start the game,” he said.

“I don’t think he’ll finish the game — I don’t think he’ll do a full 90 minutes. I would fully expect Ivan Toney to come on at some point in the second half.

“But the thought that England’s captain and all-time leading goalscorer might not lead the line tomorrow, forget it. It ain’t going to happen.”

England game against the Netherlands is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. (UK time) and will be broadcast live on ITV.
