Tottenham Hotspur continue their pursuit of bolstering their midfield with a potential move for Inter Milan’s defensive midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

The Albanian international has garnered interest from several clubs, including Spurs, as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

Potential Swap Deal on the Table

According to Italian outlet InterLive.it, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is considering a swap deal involving newly signed Romanian defender Radu Dragusin to secure Asllani’s services.

Spurs believe Asllani would be a valuable addition to their team and are prepared to offer Dragusin in exchange for the midfielder.

Inter Milan might be willing to part with Asllani for a reported fee of €35-40 million. This valuation is within Tottenham’s budget, but Levy is exploring the possibility of a swap deal to facilitate the transfer.

Asllani to Spurs?

Inter are reportedly interested in Dragusin, and Tottenham hopes to leverage this interest to secure a favourable deal for Asllani.

His performance at the ongoing Euros, where he has been a key player for Albania, has further increased his appeal.

In their 2-2 draw against Croatia, Asllani played the full 90 minutes, completing 41 out of 50 passes (82% accuracy), creating one chance, and achieving (xG) of 0.18 and an expected assists (xA) of 0.17. (FotMob)
