Liverpool have to make crucial decisions this summer as the post Jurgen Klopp era kicks off.

The legendary German manager has left the Reds in great shape over all but the squad still needs new additions.

The Merseyside club finished in third place in the Premier League and failed to win the Europa League.

The only consolation from this season was the Carabao Cup victory but the Reds would be hoping for more next season.

Liverpool have their focus on a number of positions, with one of them being the long term replacement of Mohamed Salah.

Football Transfers reports that Mohammed Kudus of West Ham United is being watched by Liverpool as a potential Salah replacement.

Even though Salah is set to stay at the club in the first season of new manager Arne Slot, his long term future at Anfield remains uncertain.

His contract expires next summer and Liverpool and made up a plan to replace him with West Ham star.

Filling the void that Salah’s departure will leave at the club will not be easy for any player.

Mohammed Kudus has impressed Liverpool.

However, Kudus has shown signs at the London Stadium in his debut season at the club that he has the goal scoring and goal creating ability that is needed at Anfield.

Kudus has an £85 million release clause with West Ham, as per Claret and Hugh, that cannot be activated until 2025, so any potential buyers will have to wait until the following summer to target the player.

Before making an unexpected transfer to West Ham, the Ghanaian attacker developed a strong reputation in Amsterdam, scoring 27 goals in 87 games for Ajax.

West Ham attacker can shine at Liverpool

Kudus is under contract with West Ham until 2028, with a further year’s option; therefore, a transfer to Anfield will not be cheap.

His versatility can be a huge asset for the Reds as just like Salah, he can play on either flank or upfront.

Salah might head to the Saudi Pro League in the future and Kudus, who will have gained more Premier League experience by next summer, could be a worthy replacement of the Egyptian.
