Manchester United are prepared to cash in on midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer.

The club is set to undergo major chances after the arrival of INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

According to ESPN, Man United have placed the midfielder available for a transfer after his playing time was reduced this season.

Ratcliffe is determined to take some harsh decisions about the outlook of the club when it comes to players and non-playing staff.

In order to achieve long term success, the new Man United hierarchy is prepared to stamp its authority and make brave decisions.

With Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial leaving the club this summer, the Man United dressing room might have one more player missing next season.

Eriksen has seen limited playing time this season with players like Scott McTominay, Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro seeing more of the action.

This season, Eriksen, 32, has witnessed a sharp drop in his performances and playing time.

Christian Eriksen has been made available for transfer by Man United.

With a year remaining on his contract, the midfielder may be heading for the exit after starting just 12 league games this season.

The Dane said during the March international break that he was dissatisfied with his lack of playing time.

He told Danish outlet Tipsbladet: “I have previously stated that I am not satisfied with not playing, but it’s not something that keeps me up at night.”

It is expected that the Dane will leave in search of more playing time given that his objections were made during the previous international break and that his minutes haven’t really improved since then.

The Red Devils need energy and physicality in their midfield and Eriksen is not the right player to provide that.

They need a creative player who can partner Mainoo in the middle of the park with the ability to help in both defence and in attack.
