Former Tottenham Hotspur and Brazil midfielder Sandro has claimed he would rather manage his old club Spurs over manage two elite Spanish clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Sandro embarked on a diverse journey following his departure from Brazil to join Tottenham in August 2010. During his four-year tenure at White Hart Lane, he showcased his talents 106 times, marking it as the pinnacle of his career in terms of appearances for a single club.

However, his career didn’t end there; he ventured to QPR before embarking on a global expedition. From Antalyaspor to Benevento, Genoa to Udinese, and even a stint at Goias and B SAD, Sandro’s path was one of constant movement and adaptation.

Eventually, he concluded his footballing saga, leaving behind a legacy of versatility and resilience.

Sandro wants to be a coach for Tottenham Hotspur

Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio, the now 35-year-old has revealed his future aspirations as a coach.

“My dream is not to coach Barcelona or Real Madrid but Tottenham,” Sandro stated.

“I’m only 35 years old and have a lot of time ahead of me. I am aware that I have to work my way up first. But my goal is the Tottenham bench, which I consider the best club in London.

“Just look at what Daniel Levy has done over the years, building the new training center and stadium. The club fights every year to enter the Champions League.

“Tottenham lacks nothing and now year after year they will build an increasingly competitive team.”

Unfortunately, Sandro was forced to hang up his boots due to injury troubles. Nevertheless, his hunger for the game still remains and he already has an objective to become part of the Tottenham Hotspur coaching staff one day.
