Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is ready to leave the Premier League club this summer due to his lack of game time and Spurs are open to selling the Argentina star.

The 27-year-old joined the North London club permanently from Real Betis during the summer of 2019 as part of a £55m deal but things have not gone to plan. Lo Celso has failed to establish himself as a regular at Tottenham and that has continued this season.

Ange Postecoglou was happy to keep the Argentine heading into the current campaign and the Aussie coach has used the midfielder in 16 matches, with the player only starting six times. Injuries have disrupted Lo Celso’s season but even so, the Argentina international would not have been a guaranteed starter.

According to Football Insider, Lo Celso wants to leave Tottenham at the end of the season in search of more playing time and Spurs are believed to be open to a sale.

According to the report, Tottenham are keen to cash in on Lo Celso this summer as his transfer fee would help fund new signings. The 27-year-old is out of contract in North London in 2025, therefore, a sale at the end of the season would be ideal for the Premier League outfit.

It is unclear where the attacking midfielder would go but there will certainly be interest as the Argentine is a talented player and is a regular for the current World Cup champions.

Barcelona were one team linked to Lo Celso coming into the January transfer window but Spurs’ price tag would have to be low for the Catalan club to be able to complete a deal due to their well-documented financial issues.
