Arsenal have been linked with a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the 25-year-old striker is a target for the French outfit Paris Saint-Germain and they will face competition from Premier League side Arsenal.
It is no secret that Arsenal need to bring in a top-class striker who can lead the line for them and score goals consistently. Gabriel Jesus has been quite underwhelming and Arsenal need to bring in an upgrade.
Osimhen has proven himself with Napoli and he helped them win the league last season. He’s a proven performer at the highest level and he could transform Arsenal the attack.
The Nigerian international has 13 goals and four assists across all competitions this season and he is still only 25. The striker is likely to improve with experience and coaching. A move to Arsenal could take him to a whole new level. He will be playing alongside top-class creators like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard. His numbers are likely to improve as a result of that.
He is certainly one of the best strikers in Europe right now and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can secure his services. Beating PSG will not be an easy task for them. The French outfit are looking to replace Kylian Mbappé who will move on as a free agent in the summer. They have a substantial transfer budget and the Gunners might struggle to outbid them.
