Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move away from the Italian club at the end of the season.

The player has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal. The Gunners need to add more depth to their attack and Osimhen would be a top-class acquisition.

The 24-year-old has been in excellent form since the start of the campaign and he has 21 goals across all competitions. The Nigerian has been one of the main reasons why Napoli are favourites to win the Scudetto this season.

There is no doubt that the 24-year-old would be a superb long-term investment for the Gunners but Fabrizio Romano believes that Arsenal might have different priorities for the summer. They already have a number of attackers in Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun.

In his exclusive substack column with CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano said: “I don’t have it confirmed, as of now. Arsenal have Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah, Balogun and also, Osimhen’s price tag will be really huge. I think Arsenal have different priorities for this summer, including a new midfielder.”

Osimhen is likely to cost a club-record fee at the end of the season and Arsenal are better off investing that money into the other areas of their squad that is in need of depth.

The Gunners should look to bring in a top-class winger and a central midfielder at the end of the season. They have been linked with players like Declan Rice as well.
