Newcastle striker Callum Wilson has a clause on his contract which allows him to stay at the club as a coach.

That’s according to journalist Andrew Musgrove, who broke the news while talking for Everything is Black and White podcast.

The 30-year-old striker is close to agree new long-term contract with the Tyneside club after impressing manager Eddie Howe despite limited minutes for Newcastle.

“It’s interesting because it’s thought that this new extension for Callum Wilson also includes some sort of coaching role. I’ll tell you what, if you’re looking for a striker coach is there anyone better than Callum Wilson when he hangs up his boots?” – said Musgrove.
