Callum Wilson admits he would’ve enjoyed playing for West Ham United

Callum Wilson needs to be replaced in the short-term

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson has been speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast about his early views of West Ham United and Newcastle.

Wilson claims that he has always believed that West Ham would be a fantastic team to play for because he had seen the movie Green Street and enjoyed the passion displayed by the crowd in the film.

“For me, when you talk about Newcastle and West Ham. I watched Green Street back in the day so I knew it would be a good atmosphere. The first time at Upton Park I was buzzing to be there because I knew the history from the film,” Wilson said.

“Newcastle was the same because of the film Goal, those were films I watched and they were about the two football clubs we’re talking about and it was only positive things in thinking what a club to play for, for both of them to be honest. The West Ham fans were so passionate in the film and in Goal it shows you the stadium and things like that.”

Wilson is reportedly in talks to sign new long-term contract with Newcastle United after starting the season in fine form for the Tyneside club.
