The furore surrounding Millwall players being booed for taking the knee before their match against Derby County just won’t go away.
TalkSPORT’s Simon Jordan had already articulated that he believed that the home support were confused as to why players were seemingly backing a political movement in Black Lives Matter, but Kick it Out’s Troy Townsend has hit back at Jordan for fanning the flames.
Townsend, the father of Crystal Palace’s Andros and a keen advocate of equality in sport, was evidently disgusted with the way that Jordan attempted to make excuses for the booing.
“It fuels the fury. It will get him a lot of praise but I do not think it did any good.”
“I am massively disappointed with what was said yesterday, it fans the flames.”
