Southampton striker Charlie Austin is under fire from his fans after revealing he’s a Liverpool fan.
The former QPR ace tweeted a number of times about his love for the Reds last night during the Champions League final – hardly very professional behaviour from a player representing another team in the same league as them!
The Saints have sold a number of their best players to Liverpool in recent times, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana all current Reds stars who were once on the books at the St Mary’s Stadium.

It seems Austin might fancy himself as the next one to make that move, though we’re not sure that’s actually likely to happen any time soon.
Needless to say, the 29-year-old’s very open and vocal Liverpool support, including donning an LFC shirt with Roberto Firmino’s name on the back, has not gone down too well with a number of Saints supporters, even though he replied to one insisting it doesn’t affect his work with Southampton…
I support Liverpool I’m sure that’s ok but my job is for @SouthamptonFC
