With Man United star Paul Pogba and manager Jose Mourinho’s relationship becoming increasingly strained as of late, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see the midfielder depart Old Trafford in the near future.
The two were caught arguing at Man United’s training on Wednesday afternoon, with it also being noted that Mourinho has stripped Pogba of his vice-captaincy as per the BBC.

It’s clear that the duo’s relationship with one another isn’t as good as it could be, and with Pogba telling Mourinho that he wants to join Barcelona as per the Daily Mail, it seems like the Frenchman’s departure from Old Trafford may not be too far off.
So, following this, we’ve drawn up a list of 5 clubs could very well be potential suitors for the French international in the not-too-distant future.
Barcelona
Starting with the most obvious one on our list, Barcelona are surely going to be some people’s favourites to snap up Pogba should he depart Old Trafford.
With the report from the Daily Mail above stating that the player has informed Mourinho of his desire to move to the Nou Camp, and with Barca being the footballing powerhouse that they are, this surely looks like the Frenchman’s most likely destination.
The Blaugrana have shown in the past through the purchases of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho that they aren’t afraid to splash the cash to bring in a big-name buy, and they may very well do the same thing with Pogba if things occur in a certain way.
Pogba’s ability on the ball and want to get forward would see him fit in very well at the Nou Camp.
Now, only time will tell as to whether the 25-year-old will actually end up sealing the move to Barca that he reportedly is so desperate for.
Real Madrid
Barcelona isn’t the only club in Spain that seems like a good fit for Pogba, as the Blaugrana’s fierce rivals Real Madrid also seem like a club that the French international would fit in well at.
With Cristiano Ronaldo now gone, Real are surely going to be looking for another world-renowned superstar to fill the void left by the winger, something Pogba definitely has it in him to do.
The Man United star would succeed at Los Blancos, as the presence of Casemiro in midfield would allow him to attack at will, and he would mainly be free of all defensive responsibilities, which would allow Pogba to do what he does best.
Don Balon note that the Real are keeping an eye on the midfielder, but that they wouldn’t be willing to move for the player until the summer.
However if the opportunity presented itself to Real in January, we’re sure they wouldn’t turn down the chance to bring Pogba in from Old Trafford.
Juventus
Having already played for Juventus for a number of years before sealing a move to United back in 2016, Pogba returning to Old Lady may very well be an option the player could decide to go through with.
During his time in Turin, Pogba excelled, with his ability to pull off consistent performances for the Italian giants being clear for all to see.
The 25-year-old helped the club win four Serie A titles, as well as reach a Champions League final in 2015, during his stay in Italy.
Pogba hasn’t reached the successes he achieved during his time with Juventus at Man United, and returning to the Serie A outfit may be just the move he needs to get himself back to his very best.
Don Balon note that Juve are ready to rival Barcelona in the race for the France star.
And who knows, if Pogba really did enjoy his time in Italy, a move back to Juventus may be just the ticket that the midfielder was after in order to fulfil his potential.
PSG
Being one of the richest and biggest clubs in Europe, Pogba is always going to be touted with sealing a move to PSG, and teaming up with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Co may be an offer that intrigues the French international.
PSG have displayed through the acquisitions of both Mbappe and Neymar that they aren’t scared of splashing their cash and exerting their financial dominance, something they’ll surely need to do if they are to sign Pogba.
The Mirror note that the French giants are interested in signing the player, and that United will demand more than £200M if they are to let the player go.
Being able to play in the same team as Neymar and Mbappe may an idea that excites Pogba, and if things keep going the way they currently are with him and Mourinho, Pogba may seek a move away from United in January, and it seems like PSG would be a perfect fit for the maestro.
Man City
Definitely not the least controversial name on our list, but one that seems somewhat plausible to some none the less.
Pogba would surely become a hated figure at Old Trafford if he were to ditch United for their fierce rivals across the city, however playing under a manager like Pep Guardiola in a team as coherent as City’s may be too good to turn down.
It was reported earlier this year that Pogba was offered to Man City in the January transfer window as per the BBC, so it looks as if this transfer could’ve already occurred in the past if things turned out a certain way.
City are one of the richest clubs in the world, and would definitely have the financial backing to make a move for Pogba.
But seeing them move for the Frenchman in January may be a long-shot, however with how United’s season in panning out so far, nothing can be completely written out.
