Chelsea agree €40million transfer but face one more major obstacle to getting deal done

Chelsea and Juventus have reportedly agreed on a €40million transfer taking defender Daniele Rugani from Turin to west London.

However, the Italy international himself remains unconvinced about making the move to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to Transfer Market Web.

Rugani would undoubtedly make a fine purchase for Chelsea given their need for fresh blood at the back, with both David Luiz and Gary Cahill looking past their best last season.

The 24-year-old could be a fine long-term solution in that area of the pitch, though it’s perhaps little surprise that he’ll need some persuading to leave Juve for Chelsea at this moment in time.

With Massimiliano Allegri’s side dominant in Serie A at the moment and having just signed Cristiano Ronaldo as a major boost to their Champions League credentials, why would any player want to leave for anywhere else?
