France lifted the World Cup on Sunday after defeating Croatia in the Final, and French president Emmanuel Macron joined in the celebrations.
Didier Deschamps and his men ended a 20-year wait for a World Cup triumph with their 4-2 win in Moscow with Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe all getting on the scoresheet.

Macron was on hand to congratulate and embrace all of the players on the pitch as they received their winners medal before being presented with the trophy, as he stood alongside Russia President Vladimir Putin and others on the podium.
As seen in the video below though, he also made his way to the France dressing room after the game too to join in with the celebrations, as Man City defender Benjamin Mendy and Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba introduced him to the dab.
Evidently, he catches on quick as he joined in with the France stars, with Mendy in particular delighted with his ability to pass on the dance move to the President as the celebrations will no doubt continue long into the night as this group reflect on making history.
France perhaps failed to impress through the course of the tournament, but having defeated every team in their path, they have to be regarded as worthy winners and it will undoubtedly create a feel-good factor back home both from a football and political popularity perspective.
