Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has reportedly requested the club to seal the transfer of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.
According to Don Balon, the Barca boss wants Pogba in as a replacement for Paulinho, who has just left the club on loan for Guangzhou Evergrande.

The France international is certainly up there with the best midfielders in the world on his day, even if he’s struggled to cope with the style of play at United under current manager Jose Mourinho.
Pogba could well be a far better fit at Barcelona, who are known for their commitment to expansive and stylish attacking football – something Mourinho is certainly not renowned for.
It remains to be seen if United could be persuaded to let the 25-year-old go, but Don Balon does state that the player himself wants the move to the Nou Camp as he’s desperate to play alongside Lionel Messi.
With Paulinho leaving, another midfield signing makes sense for Barcelona, and Pogba seems an ideal candidate, even if the deal could be a tad ambitious.
