Nice midfielder Jean Seri has reportedly been in London and has been ‘in contact’ with both Chelsea and Arsenal over a transfer, according to French journalist Nabil Djellit.
The Ivory Coast international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League after impressing in Ligue 1, and it looks like things might finally be edging closer to moving forward.

The Daily Mirror have previously linked Arsenal with the £40million star, but Djellit suggests Chelsea are in the running as well as he arrives in London, as translated by the Daily Star.
Seri seems an ideal signing for both clubs, who were weak in central midfield last season and for whom the 26-year-old would surely be a step up on most of their current options.
Arsenal lack genuine quality in that area due to the ongoing struggles of Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka, while Jack Wilshere has just left the club, leaving them short of depth.
Chelsea, meanwhile, lack a top partner for N’Golo Kante, with Seri surely a massive improvement on flop signings Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater.
Seri’s quality and energy to his play make him an ideal fit for the Premier League in general, so some neutrals will likely also be hoping he does end up making the move to English football before long.
