Liverpool’s odds of completing the transfer of Monaco winger and Arsenal target Thomas Lemar this January have been cut from 5/1 to 3/1 with Ladbrokes.
This is according to the Daily Mirror, who add that the France international has a price tag of around £90million after establishing himself as one of the finest attacking players in Europe.
Lemar played a key role in Monaco’s Ligue 1 title success last term and could be a crucial addition to a Liverpool side suffering after the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
Arsenal are also mentioned as previous suitors for the 22-year-old, and they too could do with replacing Alexis Sanchez, though they no longer seem the favourites for his signature.
This follows recent claims by Yahoo Sport that Liverpool had agreed personal terms with Lemar but that they were yet to reach Monaco’s asking price for the player.
Liverpool fans will hope there’s something to this shift in odds from Ladbrokes, as they’re running out of time to land a top class attacker this month.
The January transfer window slams shut next Wednesday evening.
