Manchester United have reportedly opened transfer talks over beating Paris Saint-Germain to the transfer of former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra.
The Frenchman is reported to be close to completing a move to PSG, but United boss Jose Mourinho hopes to hijack the deal, according to SFR Sport.
This could be a fine move for United, who could do with Diarra’s quality and experience in that defensive midfield role.

Diarra shone for Mourinho at Chelsea and again later at Real Madrid, and enjoyed a recent revival with his form for Marseille, earning a recall to the French national team.
United could now offer him one more chance of the big time in the Premier League, and he could be an ideal addition due to Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick heading towards the ends of their contracts.
