Manchester United consider Alex Sandro alternatives
Manchester United are put off by Alex Sandro’s £62million asking price and seem to be weighing up moving for alternatives to the Juventus left-back.
Mourinho remains keen on signing a player in that position, but could instead move for youngsters such as Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon or Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney, according to the Daily Record.
Both are among the top young defenders in Europe at the moment and could be great long-term additions at Old Trafford if United can indeed win the race for their signatures.
Jose Mourinho fuming over Danny Rose failure
To conclude our Manchester United transfer news round-up, another left-back on Mourinho’s radar is Tottenham star Danny Rose, with the Daily Mail claiming the Manchester United boss is unhappy at being unable to sign him.
The Spurs defender would likely cost around £40million, but United’s hierarchy have apparently been unwilling to give the Portuguese that much to spend on him.
Rose has shone for Tottenham in recent times and seems a good fit for this United side, though he has also had his problems with injuries and some at the club feel Luke Shaw can do the job just as well.
