Manchester United have reportedly contacted the representatives of midfielder Lassana Diarra in the hope of hijacking his potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to SFR Sport, as translated by the Metro, Diarra has agreed terms with PSG with just a few details left to iron out before the move is completed.
Still, this doesn’t seem to have put off United trying their luck with a swoop late on, while AC Milan, Galatasaray and Feberbahce are also listed as among the clubs chasing the 32-year-old.
Diarra shone in a recent spell with Marseille, looking back to his best after a few years in the wilderness in Russian football.
The Frenchman previously impressed with Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth during a spell in the Premier League earlier in his career, and he could now get another chance in England.

United boss Jose Mourinho knows Diarra well, working with him at Chelsea and Real Madrid, and could certainly do worse as he looks to add depth to his defensive midfield options.
Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera will be out of contract in the summer, while Michael Carrick is no longer a regular and is also nearing the end of his deal.
Diarra would add quality, work rate and experience to this United side that has struggled in some recent games.
