Liverpool are reportedly confident of beating the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to the transfer of Thomas Lemar amid reports that Philippe Coutinho is nearing a move to Barcelona.
The Reds will need to bring in a big name in attack to help fill the void left by Coutinho, whom Sport report is heading to the Nou Camp in a £133million deal this January.
Liverpool don’t seem to be messing around and have already identified Lemar as ideal for their plans, with the Independent also claiming they’re confident he would choose a move to Anfield over other offers.
The France international has also been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times after impressing in Ligue 1 in recent times.

The Daily Mail claimed earlier this season that the Gunners could try again for the 22-year-old after missing out on him in the summer, while the London Evening Standard yesterday linked him as a target for Chelsea.
Lemar looks one of the most exciting young talents in the game at the moment and would be a great addition to the Premier League if he can continue his remarkable development.
Even without Coutinho, the addition of Lemar alongside Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino would continue to make Jurgen Klopp’s side a formidable attacking force in the second half of the season.
