Arsenal could miss out on two of their top transfer targets this January as Sam Allardyce makes them priorities for his new club Everton as well.
The former England manager has just taken over at Goodison Park, inheriting a struggling squad from Ronald Koeman that looks in major need of surgery as soon as possible.
It would be little surprise to see the struggling Toffees busy this winter, and after spending big in the summer they may be able to do so again to appease Allardyce in his bid to rebuild the side.
According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are looking at both West Brom defender Jonny Evans and Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi in what could potentially be a superb double swoop.

The Mirror have previously linked Evans with Arsenal, while the Sun suggest the Gunners are keeping an eye on N’Zonzi’s situation as he looks likely to leave Sevilla.
Arsenal really shouldn’t be losing out to clubs like Everton when it comes to signings, so fans will hope they get their act together quickly and bring in the players they need to do better in the second half of the season.
Arsene Wenger’s side lost to Manchester United at the weekend and look set for another season of merely scrapping it out for a top four place at best.
