Liverpool are reportedly among the clubs chasing the transfer of Nice midfielder Jean Seri in January as he looks to move to the Premier League either this winter or next summer.
The Ivory Coast international has shone in Ligue 1 in recent times and looks an ideal fit for this Reds side, who are also set to bring in Naby Keita in midfield next summer.
Seri could be another wise addition, however, to a team that looks a little lightweight in the middle of the pitch, particularly with Emre Can heading towards the end of his contract.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Manchester City could be a realistic next destination for the 26-year-old, as his preference would be to play in England.

This could be bad news for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, who are also listed as potential suitors by the Mail.
Seri is an all-action midfield player who seems to excel best in a role with attacking freedom due to his creativity and eye for goal.
This would make him a tempting addition for any top club, and the Mail claim he was valued at around £35.2million by Nice when clubs came in for him during the summer.
It is not made entirely clear when clubs could come in for him, but the Mail’s report suggests Liverpool and others are circling ahead of January and that the player himself is open to moving in the middle of the season.
