Chelsea star prepared to seal transfer to Champions League giants if Antonio Conte makes the same move

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly prepared to seal a transfer back to Real Madrid, especially if Antonio Conte ends up taking the manager’s job at the Bernabeu.

The Italian tactician has shone in his time in England, winning the Premier League title in his first year in charge, and is now said to be among the candidates to replace the struggling Zinedine Zidane at the club.

This is according to Diario Gol, who claim Morata could also be open to another spell at Real, a club he has long harboured ambitions of success with.

The Spain international made his senior breakthrough with Los Blancos before a spell at Juventus, though he returned for a second spell in Madrid last season.

Still, a lack of first-team football saw him move to Stamford Bridge this season, and he has made a bright start with the Blues, scoring 10 goals in his first 20 games.

Given Karim Benzema’s poor form in front of goal this season, Real must regret losing Morata as an option up front, but it seems a third spell for him at his former club cannot be ruled out.

This would be a disaster for Chelsea, however, as they potentially face losing both a world class manager and world class centre-forward to the Spanish giants.

Zidane is under growing pressure at Real after another poor result over the weekend, with his side now eight points behind league leaders Barcelona.
