Chelsea drew with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid as the Blues finished second in their Champions League behind Italian side Roma following their win against FK Qarabag.
Atletico opened the scoring through Saul Niguez, after a header from ex-Blues ace Fernando Torres was turned home by the Spaniard.
The home side found an equaliser in the 75th minute, after a cross from Eden Hazard was turned into his own net by Stefan Savic.
Following the stalemate, and the fact that Roma beat Qarabag in Rome, Chelsea finish second in their group, meaning they could face either Sevilla, Barcelona, PSG or Besiktas in the round of 16 depending on results in Wednesday’s fixtures.
Man of the Match
Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak was on-form tonight, as the Slovenian international stopped nearly everything he had fired at him as Chelsea.
The only way Antonio Conte’s side were able to beat the 24-year-old was through Savic, who put through his own goal from an Eden Hazard cross.
This tweet shows just how Oblak was against the Blues tonight, and in general.
Flop of the Match
Former Man City ace Savic had a bit of a mare tonight, as the Montenegrin international put through his own net to give Chelsea a point at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the player’s solid defensive performance, Savic’s mistake was costly, as it ultimately cost his side the win.
