Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is a transfer target for Real Madrid, Egypt manager Hector Cuper has confirmed in a surprise revelation.
The Argentine tactician claims to have been told about the Spanish giants’ interest in Salah after his tremendous start to life at Liverpool this season.
The 25-year-old has 17 goals in 21 appearances for the Reds already, continuing where he left off after a superb campaign in Serie A last year.
Gol Digital recently linked Salah with a shock move to Atletico Madrid, while former Egypt striker Mido recently tweeted that he expected his compatriot to end up at the Bernabeu.
Cuper now seems to be suggesting the interest is genuine after an interview ON Sport TV.
‘I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah,’ Cuper is quoted in the Daily Star.
‘But let’s not rush things. To me, he is in an amazing position right now.’

Liverpool fans would be devastated to lose a player like Salah so quickly, with the Egypt international looking like one of their best signings in years.
Not since Luis Suarez have they had such a prolific and threatening attacker up front, with Salah showing himself to be one of the finest goalscoring wingers in the game.
Incredibly, no one saw his potential at Chelsea in a spell with the Blues earlier in his career, and Liverpool are now reaping the benefits.
