Manchester United and Chelsea on red alert over £40m European wonderkid, star could depart his Serie A club very soon

Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have had their differences

Manchester United and Chelsea are on red alert over Genoa’s Pietro Pellegri with European heavyweights PSG making serious approaches for the star.

A report from Italian newspaper CalcioMercato has stated that United, Chelsea, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter have all been closely monitoring the star but may have no choice but to step up their pursuit for the 16-year-old if they are to compete with the interest from PSG.

The report suggests that PSG have made a formal approach for the star with the French side now leading the race to sign the youngster.

However, it could be a pricey task for any club looking to bring the youngster to their ranks with the Sun reporting last month that Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has clearly recognised that he has a quality talent on his hands and is demanding £40m for the teenager.

While just 16-years-old the star stands at an impressive six foot and two inches in height. The youngster has caught the eye of Europe’s elite for obvious reasons but given his stature he would surely possess all of the necessary components to become a star in the Premier League.

Pietro Pellegri is certainly a name to keep your eye on at just 16-years-old and if he doesn’t come to the Premier League straight away he is more than likely to at some point in his career.
