Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suggested he may have been to blame after his side threw away a 3-0 lead against Sevilla tonight to only come away with a draw.
The Reds scored three times in the first half but then let in three in the second as they blew a golden opportunity to earn a hugely impressive away win.
Klopp was understandably distraught afterwards, saying the draw felt like a defeat and that he clearly got his half-time team-talk wrong after seeing how his players stopped performing after the interval.
‘They stopped playing football in the second half, that was the problem,’ Klopp said after the game.
‘We scored twice on a set piece, they scored twice on a set piece. In this atmosphere, it can happen.
‘It’s not nice, it feels like a defeat. Before the game against Sevilla you’d say you want to win, but if you get a point it’s okay, but this feels quite different.

‘It’s not the first time we’re 3-0 up at half time so it’s not a real challenge to say the right things, but obviously I didn’t say the right things.
‘We should have had more counter-attacks even after 3-1, 3-2, but now it’s like this. I don’t really have an explanation for the moment.’
