Could City miss out on the Sanchez transfer after all?
Arsenal will reportedly receive a very tempting offer to allow Alexis Sanchez to leave in the January transfer window and scupper his potential move to rivals Manchester City.
The Chile international is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, meaning the Gunners are at real risk of losing him on a free and having no say over where he goes next.

The Daily Mirror recently reported that City were ready to cool efforts to seal the Sanchez transfer in January, preferring instead to wait until the summer to snap him up for nothing.
However, Don Balon now claim Bayern Munich are desperate to beat other top clubs to the 28-year-old’s signature with a swoop for him in the middle of the season.
While Arsenal cannot realistically expect to bring in a particularly big transfer fee for a player set to be available for free in the summer, they would surely take the opportunity to cash in on the player while they still can, particularly if it means blocking his move to City.
The north London giants have been hurt in the past by losing star players to their Premier League rivals, with the likes of Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Adebayor among those to leave them for City in the past, while Robin van Persie also recently made the controversial move to Manchester United.
The best possible outcome of the Sanchez transfer saga?
Sanchez moving to Bayern would surely be the preferable option, even if Arsene Wenger has hinted he has no plans to conduct any major transfer business this winter.

Discussing the January transfer window this week, Wenger was quoted by the Evening Standard as saying: ‘I have told you I have a big squad and the problem for me is to keep everyone together until the end of the season.’
Bayern’s slightly unconvincing start to this season, which saw manager Carlo Ancelotti sacked and replaced by Jupp Heynckes, seems to have prompted their stepping up their interest in Sanchez.
