“I don’t know where I’m going” – Man United and Arsenal given potential boost in pursuit of 89-goal Germany star, player drops hint regarding future

Man United and Arsenal given boost in Reus pursuit

Man United and Arsenal fans, your hopes of seeing this Germany star playing for your club may have just been given a big boost.

It had been reported by the Sun that both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho’s side were keeping tabs on Germany and Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus, and following an interview with GQ magazine, the forward seems to have given the two sides a boost with his words about his future.

Speaking to GQ about his future with Dortmund, Reus said “On May 31 next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different again. I have to be honest and fair and say I don’t know where I’m going.”

Ever since he joined Dortmund from local rivals Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012, the Germany international has been nothing short of a revelation.

Since his debut for the former Bundesliga champions five years ago, the 29-year-old has managed to amass a record of 89 goals and 61 assists in 189 appearances.

The player has also managed to win some silverware during his time at the Westfalenstadion, as his side have won one German Cup and two German Super Cups since the player’s arrival in 2012.

Reus has also enjoyed a fairly successful time with the national side as well, as the winger has scored nine in 29 appearances for Die Mannschaft.

One of the elements that has put a downer on Reus’ time with Dortmund, and his career in general, is his injury record.

Since the start of his Dortmund career, the German international has missed a total of 78 games due to injury, as well as being unable to be a part of Germany’s World Cup wining side of three years ago.

Should Reus had managed to stay clear of injuries during his time with Dortmund, it would’ve been interesting to see just what the player could’ve achieved.
